"How many lights only owe it to their luminaires that they are seen." This philosophical thought of the poet Friedrich Hebbel has filled the Franek lighting workshop with artistic life for more than 30 years.Here, in the Franciscan quarter of Vienna, we send historical luminaires in all styles and from all epochs on a time-travelling trip, so to speak, from the past to the present. This takes the form of true-to-the-original reproductions which do not deceive the eyes, but rather open them up and sensitise them to the golden ages of the lifestyle culture and home décor of the past.
In the process, we place special importance on gilding, holders and patina, i.e. on perfect decoration of the surfaces, making appropriate reference to the original.
